The flow restrictor we offer is made from food-grade materials, allowing users to connect and disconnect it quickly and easily without the need for any tools. Its purpose is to create back pressure on the drain line, helping to push water through the membrane while maintaining a fast flow to keep the membrane clean. This flow restrictor is compatible with standard 1/4-inch tubing, including copper, CPVC, PEX, and PVC, making it suitable for most reverse osmosis (RO) systems.

The flow restrictor can be used in a variety of applications, such as RO systems, beverage dispensing, refrigerator ice makers, and coffee machines. It is installed on the waste water line to help restrict the flow and maintain the membrane's cleanliness. By balancing the brine solution coming off the membrane, the flow restrictor ensures that there is enough back pressure against the RO membrane for proper filtration. This feature can also be used to upgrade your system due to increased usage, eliminating the hassle of a water filter installation.

Installation is straightforward: simply locate the drain line connected to your sink and splice the flow restrictor into it. There is an arrow on the device to indicate the correct direction of connection. To remove the flow restrictor, simply push in the outer circle on each end and pull it out. It is important to ensure that the membrane flow rating matches the flow restrictor for optimal performance.

When installing the flow restrictor, it is crucial to cut the tubing evenly and straight, without any crimping, to prevent leaks. The tubing should be inserted fully and straight into the connector to ensure a secure and leak-free connection.

Our flow restrictor is available in various flow rates to accommodate different water usage needs. For household water purifiers, you can choose from 300cc/min-50 gallons, 350cc/min-50/75 gallons, 420cc/min-75 gallons, 450cc/min-100 gallons, or 550cc/min-100/200 gallons. For commercial water purifiers with 400-800 gallons, you can select from 800cc/min, 1200cc/min, or 1500cc/min.

The flow restrictor is designed to withstand a working pressure of more than 8 kg and a temperature range of 5-50 degrees Celsius. The ratio of product water to waste water is approximately 1:3, but this is not fixed and may vary depending on the working pressure and water quality.

The flow restrictor features a new generation of non-locking clip technology, allowing for easy DIY installation without the need for any tools. It can also be used with locking clips (available separately) for added security.
