The WECO CLARINA Undersink Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration System is the ideal water purification filter for home, boasting a complete 5-stage water purification process that yields double the recovery over traditional RO water filtration systems. The CLARINA filtration system uses five individual stages of water filtration to create pure, refreshing drinking water.

The process begins by pre-filtering the water through a 5-micron spun-bonded sediment filter, which removes tiny particles like iron oxide (rust), silt, sand grains, and insect parts that can contaminate the water supply. This sediment removal protects the family from drinking these particles and prevents the filtration system from clogging. The clear, see-through filter housing makes it easy to monitor when the filter needs replacement.

Next, the water passes through 5-micron and 0.5-micron solid activated carbon block adsorption cartridges. These second and third filtration stages remove taste and odor-causing disinfection chemicals like chlorine and chloramine, as well as organic contaminants such as pesticides, industrial chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and solvents.

The reverse osmosis (RO) process is the fourth filtration stage, where the tap water is "squeezed" through a special Thin Film Composite (TFC) semi-permeable membrane. This step removes heavy metals like lead, cadmium, and mercury, while also eliminating salts, nitrate, fluoride, radon, and benzene. The RO membrane is highly efficient, producing only one gallon of waste water for each gallon of purified water, in contrast to other RO filters that can waste up to 10 gallons.
