Product Description: Plan the Installation

Consider the proximity of the water source, easy cartridge removal, sump orientation, and shelter from sunlight, rain, and freezing temperatures when laying out the components. The planning must incorporate sufficient clearance to facilitate the removal of cartridges.

Secure Mounting Tips

Securely mount the system on a plywood backing or wall studs using the bracket's four screw holes.

Connect Plumbing

Apply ample Teflon tape to male threads. Solder copper pipes before connecting male threads. Other options include press fittings and PEX.

Grease Sump Seal

Apply food-grade silicone grease to lubricate the O-ring and threads on the sump, then proceed to install the O-ring in the filter sump.

Sump Thread Lube

Lubrication of the sump threads will assist in the easy removal of the sump when it's time to change the drop-in filter cartridge.

Cartridge Alignment

Place the filter cartridge into the sump and align it with the notch at the housing's bottom.

Complete Installation

Place the sump into the filter cap and turn clockwise to secure the filter. Hand-tighten, then use the provided wrench for an extra quarter turn.

Inlet/Outlet: 1" FNPT threads designed for rapid flow rates (fittings not provided). Use separately acquired fittings suitable for copper sweating or press tools.
